Born in the City of Gold
Born in the city of Gold (Johannesburg) and raised amongst diamonds in Gaborone Botswana as Luvuyo Lejowa. After realizing the popularity generated by rapping Luvuyo “Veezo” Lejowa developed an interest in Hip Hop Music. His first radio single titled “Young and Fresh” with a guest appearance by a high school friend and fellow solo recording artist Young Slugz went all the way to number one on the Mascom top twenty chart on Yarona FM (one of the biggest radio stations in Botswana).The duo later recorded a remix which featured big names in the Botswana rap industry, such as Scar and Stagga.
Veezo then returned to his country of birth and hooked up with a young Tanzanian Music Producer, Godfrey “Gordo” Rwechungura and together they made music under independent Cartel Ent. Records label. Their first official single “All I do” was well received by the South African public and Media as it made it to number one on C-lives Hip Hop Power Nights (5 FM), and his music has been on heavy rotation on other major radio stations such as Y-FM and Metro Fm.

As his name grew in and around the country, the pieces began to fall into place for Veezo. Veezo has also worked with the likes of Tshego on the Family Trees artist’s EP Since 1990 with powerful features on the songs True Story, Fomoza and Theme Song.
The EP is available on Tshegos website. Veezo also has numerous collaborations with the popular group Faded Gang(botswana) with hits such Say Grace, Empire and Propane.
Considered to be most promising bubbling under artist Veezo has solidified his place within the industry with featured articles on TrueArica. Hype Magazine and ispeakhiphop. This includes his feature in the June 2013 edition GQ Magazine. Veezo was also nominated for a Metro fm award in 2013 for his video Money Sex Clothes Girls.
